Recently I upgraded to the iphone 11 Pro, yes it is a high price but for something I use everyday it does not seem excessive. The basic memory really is not enough for the use the phone will probably receive so I upgraded to the next level up. When I type phone it seems the wrong description for this device. It is more a pocketable computer that has a phone built in. I don't make many voice calls, I get a few calls but they are seldom wanted, no, the Iphone is my pocket assistant.

Travelling with the family there is seldom enough space in the car. Tom needs his stroller and Sally always has a few must takes. I can work from an Iphone so a laptop isn't needed, but I like to squeeze a camera and sometimes a drone in. I do like to back my photos up to a device and ideally the cloud. I have been lucky that I can count the number of digital card failures on one hand and don't have to include my thumb. I have tried to stick to good quality and genuine cards.

Equally when out on nature walks I like to keep the amount of equipment I take to a minimum but do like to make occasional backups.

As my phone now has more memory than an entry level Macbook Pro I thought it would be a good idea to use it to backup my photos and as Wifi is easily available these days I could then backup to the cloud every so often when out and about.

Seeing multi card to lightning readers such as this I decided to give one a try. It really was just plug and play and I can import from cards into photos. If there are many images on a card I may have to import in batches but it is quick enough and certainly better than the wifi option some of my cameras have.
